I’m originally a Midwest girl, Chicago, Illinois to be exact. I moved to Nashville in 2011 from Los Angeles, California to find a slower pace and a new career. Real Estate fell into my lap quickly after my arrival to Tennessee and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning the business from every angle possible.

My career originated behind the scenes at Village Real Estate; wearing many hats I quickly realized I had a knack for teaching real estate agents different tools and systems that they should be using to increase their productivity while generating more business.

After almost 4 years I decided to take all that I had learned and became a Real Estate agent myself. Village is now where I hang my Real Estate license!

Shortly after becoming a licensed Affiliate Broker, I jumped head first into the high-rise condominium world selling some of Nashville's most influential high rise buildings. I still also enjoy selling homes to investors, and my amazing client base as well as helping my buyers find the place they want to call home!

Fast forward to present day, I am still wearing many hats! Starting a property management company, managing long and short term rentals was something I’ve always wanted to do; being a renter myself for many years through all my travel and relocating, it really opened my eyes to see the need for a management company who truly cares about the well being of the tenant, owners and guests! To be successful in this business you also need an amazing team by your side, which I have put together a group of some of the best - who you’ll get to know below!

My name is Michelle but prefer to go by Shel ;) I am new to Nashville since March 2020, originally from the Midwest! My big sister Jeanelle Reeves also Owner/Manager of UPM started in this field before me in Nashville and I also happened to kick off in the same career field but in Northern Illinois (what a coincidence!).

I had been working in Real Estate and Property Management since 2014 and decided to relocate to advance my career but also be closer to family! Before that I worked in the Veterinary Field or 5 years and really enjoyed working with animals. But that compassion really made me strive for more, when I first stepped foot in the PM world I started off as an administrative assistant and worked my way up as an Office Manager. I continued taking on many new tasks and wearing many hats that gave me great experience but also pushed me to become a better person and made me feel good to be needed!

Now that I am in Nashville I am so excited to take my experience and work alongside my sister and help grow UPM in so many ways. Not only I’m I new to UPM but I am a new mother as well! Having a new family and relocating to another State has really opened my eyes on what others go through when trying to find a new home. With having a better understanding, I hope to gain the trust and confidence from our clients.

Currently I am in Operations & Team support processing applications, assisting in short or long term rentals, maintenance items and anything in between. I look forward to helping you transition into your home and assisting you with any needs along the way!
